All Roads: Leading to Sunday School
When was the last time you attended Sunday School? Think about your answer and I'll come back to that. What is the purpose of Sunday School? It is generally accepted that there are perhaps three purposes.
Fellowship: Sunday School provides an opportunity to encourage one another, discuss what God is doing in and through their lives and pray for the needs of the body of Christ. Fellowship is not typically considered part of Sunday School, but the interaction with attendees and the various views on scriptural matters offer wide opportunities for fellowship.
Worship: Sunday School provides opportunities for worship through song and Scripture. The short devotional times allow for attendees to praise God and prepare for the lesson.
Teaching: Sunday School provides an opportunity for attendees to grow in a scriptural understanding of God's Word. The scriptures are read and discussed so that attendees will have the benefit of an approach to everyday application of scriptures.
We encourage you to come to Sunday School and always bring a friend. Now back to the first question, when was the last time you attended Sunday School? If your answer to that question was more than 1 day ago, you need to see us and we need to see you this coming Sunday. Remember, all roads are leading to Sunday School.
