The Seniors of Saint John Baptist Church

Where there are gaps in the lives of people and organizations, it is possible to find that they have been filled by seniors.  Saint John Baptist Church is proud to spotlight its Seniors during the month of September, especially this September 2008 as it celebrates our church's one hundredth year celebration.

Today’s our aging population is unlike that of any other before its time. Increased longevity, an interest in continued personal growth and career reinvention are changing the old concept of retirement. Some older adults find themselves re-entering the work force to cover rising housing costs and other expenses to supplement a fixed income, while others take pleasure in continuing their education, which includes an interest in the latest technological advancements. However, the consistent theme that prevails throughout their interest is the desire to help through service. We are very fortunate that our Seniors have given more than they have been asked and they have made a monumental difference in assisting Saint John Baptist Church to reach its goals through internal and outreach ministries.
