On behalf of the Saint John Baptist Church Family, you are cordially invited to join us in our worship services and our outreach activities. We believe that we are made all the more better through our free-will giving of resources as we seek to be more like Jesus Christ. A gift is receiving something for nothing. It is free. If a price tag is attached, or the cost is stated or implied, it's not really a gift. God's gift of salvation meets these qualifications. It is not offered to us because we have worked for it or made ourselves worhty of it; it is ours to enjoy because the Lord has provided it for us out of His boundless love, abundant mercy, and limitless grace.

The Bible says:

  • For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23
  • For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephsisans 2:8-9
  • But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name. John 1:12

We appreciate salvation, not only because it is freely bestowed, but also because it is available. These are some of the benefits included in the "salvation package".

  • We are born again (1Peter 1:23) | We are new creations (2 Corinthians 5:17)
  • We are called out of the darkness into the light. (1Peter 2:9)
  • We are delivered from condemnation (Romans 8:1)
  • We are granted the forgiveness of sins (Colossians 1:14)
  • We are justified (Romans 5:1) | We are united with Christ (Romans 6:5)
  • We are made citizens of Heaven (Phillipians 3:20)
  • We are indwelt by the Holy Spirit (1Corinthians 6:19)
  • We have hope for the future (1Peter: 1:3)
  • We have God's provisions ( Philipians 4:19) and
  • We have God as our Father (Luke 11:12)

We are a church community learning to live and grow in the love of Jesus Christ. At Saint John Baptist Church, you will find rich worship, sincere spirituality, and a strong commitment to the care of those who are in need.

We are pilgrims, traveling by faith to know God better, to know ourselves better, and to become the people God created us to be. We welcome you to travel with us whether your own journey has just begun or has been under way for many years. We invite you to visit us to worship, pray and sing, to learn with us and to help us as we help our neighbors in their daily needs and to secure the gift of salvation.

Your's in Christ,

Jamey O. Graham, Pastor
